The Practice has five GP Partners and one salaried GP working as part of the Primary Health Care Team. Together with the practice nurses, district nurses, community midwives and health visitors, with support from the managerial, reception and secretarial staffs, we aim to provide you with the fullest possible care. In addition to the usual general medical and nursing services, we have a number of tenants providing private clinics in chiropody/podiatry, reflexology, physiotherapy and complementary therapies. As well as providing a high standard of comprehensive medical care, we try to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The Practice is at 63/65 Bondgate, between St Augustine's Row and Greenbank Rd. It is only a short distance from the town centre and there are good public transport links from all parts of Darlington and surrounding areas.
There is car parking at the rear of the building in Four Riggs. However, please note that there is no entry from Bondgate into Four Riggs. Access by vehicle is by way of Greenbank Rd and Gladstone Street, or St Augustine's Way and Archer Street. If the car park is full, there are several public car parks close by, including one in Archer Street just adjacent to our car park entrance.
We are very proud that Blacketts includes a number of works by artists with regional and national reputations. We believe they make visiting the Practice a more pleasurable experience and enhance our working environment. Outside, there are gates designed and made by Brian Russell, and sculpture by Lee and Jill Brewster. Incorporated internally are stained glass by Bridget Jones, tapestries by Jennie Moncur and tiles by Matilda Moreton.
