Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

If your doctor agrees that you can obtain repeat prescriptions, a green repeat slip will be attached to your prescription listing the medication which has been authorised. You can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways.

At the surgery

You may order your next prescription by simply ticking the items required on the repeat slip and either handing it in at Reception, posting it or placing it in the letter box, which is on Bondgate at the Greenbank Rd end of the building (next to Seaton Leng).

By telephone

Telephone requests will be accepted on Darlington 347247 between 2.00pm and 5.30pm on Monday to Friday.

Please also have the form available if you order by telephone and be ready to order the medication using the names/descriptions given on the form.

By e mail

You can send an e mail to Prescriptions stating:

Your prescription reference number
Your date of birth (as a security check)
Daytime telephone number
The item(s) you require
The strength (as shown on your repeat slip)
The quantity (as shown on your repeat slip)
Where you wish to collect the prescription

Online using EMISAccess

If you have registered for this facility, you can order repeat prescriptions online through the EMISAccess web site. For more details, click HERE

Collection of prescriptions

Prescriptions can then be collected from the reception desk at anytime during the day, 48 hours after ordering excluding weekends and bank holidays. Please remember to order your prescription before you run out of medication. You may also wish to note that if you are unable to visit the surgery to collect your prescription, certain chemists in Darlington operate a collection and delivery service. The receptionist can advise you of the details. Please note however that if you use this service, you should allow three working days before collecting your prescription from the chemist.
